“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
The main reason Jesus came from heaven to earth was to seek and save the lost. Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Genesis 1:26 tells us that God created man in His own image and likeness. He created them male and female and placed them in the Garden of Eden, where He constantly had fellowship with them. God loved the man He created and gave him dominion over all things. But man sinned against God and fell short of His glory (Genesis 3:1-19; Romans 3:23).
Despite the fall of man, God still loves him and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to come and seek and save him. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
God hates sin, and sin separates man from God, leading to eternal damnation. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross to save us from our sins and reconcile us to God. We have redemption in the shed blood of the LAMB, Jesus Christ.
In Christ, there is salvation for everyone who desires eternal life and pursues righteousness. Revelation 22:17 says, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Dear reader, have you been saved by Jesus? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour? Do you know that many people will still perish on the last day despite Jesus’ sacrifice? If you’re living in sin, repent and surrender to Jesus Christ before it’s too late.
Pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner. I believe You died for me and rose again. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Come into my life, save me, and make me new. Guide me to live for You. Amen.”
If you’ve prayed, take these steps:
- Find a Bible-believing Church (Hebrews 10:25).
- Live a holy life (Hebrews 12:14).
- Study God’s Word daily (2 Timothy 2:15).
- Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
- Focus on heaven (Colossians 3:2).
Mark 16:15 KJV
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
