The Judgment Day

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just” (Matthew 13:49).

Judgment Day is coming!

The Bible makes it clear that God has appointed a day to judge the whole world in righteousness by Christ Jesus. “Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained” (Acts 17:30-31).

Revelation 20:12-15 reveals that God will judge the small and great on the last day. Judgment Day will be payback time for the enemies of God. “For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord” (Hebrews 10:30).

It will be a terrible day for unrepentant sinners because there won’t be mercy on that day. The right time to obtain mercy and forgiveness for our sins is now, and not on the day God has chosen to judge His enemies.

On the last day, the sinners will be separated from the saints and cast into hell.

Where shall you be on that day? Heaven or hell?

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 13:49-50).

God is an impartial Judge. His judgments are perfect and righteous. God will judge the world of sin on the last day. He sees and keeps records of how we live our lives daily, and will reward us according to the works of our hands.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:11-12).

Dear reader, are you ready for Judgment Day? Don’t wait until it’s too late. If you are living in sin, repent and surrender your life to Jesus Christ today.

Pray this prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven:

“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner in need of salvation. I repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me. Cleanse me with Your blood and make me a new creation. Come into my life and be my Lord and Saviour. Guide me and help me to live for You. Amen.”
