The Broad or Narrow Way?

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13).

There are two ways that lead to different sides of eternity: the broad and narrow ways. The broad way leads to eternal damnation in the lake of fire that burns forever, while the narrow way leads to eternal life in heaven. The question is, which way are you treading?

The truth is that the way you choose to follow in life will ultimately lead you to your final destination in eternity. Matthew 7:13 says, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.”

The only way to a blissful eternity in heaven is through the narrow way, which signifies Jesus Christ. In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus Christ is that narrow way that leads to eternal life. Anyone who accepts Jesus and follows Him to the end will be with Him in glory.

*Choose the Narrow Way*

Dear reader, if you’re living in sin, you’re treading the broad way that leads to hell. Proverbs 16:25 warns, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Repent immediately and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ before it’s too late.

*Pray the Prayer of Repentance*

Pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I’m standing at the crossroads of life, and I choose to follow you. I acknowledge that I’m a sinner and I’m on the broad way to destruction. I repent of my sins and turn to you. Please forgive me, save me, and make me a new creation. Come into my life and be my Lord and Saviour. Guide me to live according to your word and give me the strength to resist sin. Thank you for your love and mercy. Write my name in the book of life and give me the assurance of eternal life. Amen.”

*Next Steps*

If you’ve prayed the prayer of repentance, take these steps for your spiritual growth:

1. Find a Bible-believing Church close to your residence to attend (Hebrews 10:25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12:14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2:15; John 5:39).
4. Pray always (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
5. Be heavenly-minded (Colossians 3:2).

Mark 16:15 KJV
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
