“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
Repentance is the total turning away from sin unto God. Repentance is a must for any sinner who wants to go to heaven on the last day. Jesus says, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). Without repentance, there is no forgiveness of sin. Repentance and faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ are all that is needed to be saved.
The type of repentance that leads to salvation is genuine repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10 says, “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
God wants every sinner to repent now. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
God has given sinners time to repent, but that time will soon expire, and every unrepentant sinner will face judgment. The right time to repent of our sins is now; tomorrow may be too late. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”
Do not say, “I will repent later,” when you can do so today and find eternal rest for your soul, because tomorrow may be too late.
Dear reader of this tract, do not take the mercy of God for granted. Apart from being merciful, God is also a consuming fire (see Hebrews 12:25-29). If you are living in sin, repent immediately and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer aloud and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven:
“Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I’m a sinner and I need your salvation. I repent of my sins and turn to you. Please forgive me, cleanse me with your blood, and come into your life. Be my Lord and Saviour, and guide me to live according to your word. Thank you for your love and mercy. Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer and believed in your heart, your sins have been forgiven.
