Salvation is personal. It’s your responsibility to work out your own salvation by doing all that is required. Philippians 2:12 says, “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
It’s not compulsory for everyone to go to heaven. Going to heaven is a choice you must make yourself. Nobody can help you make that choice. While it’s true that God doesn’t want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9), it’s up to you to decide whether you would like to go to heaven or not.
The first step to salvation is to believe the gospel, repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour. Mark 1:15 says, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” It doesn’t end there, you must also carry your cross daily and follow Christ. Luke 9:23 says, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Dear reader of this tract, God loves you and is interested in your salvation. He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us (see John 3: 16). If you don’t want to go to hell, fear God and keep His commandments (see Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). If you’re living in sin, repent now and surrender to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner seeking salvation. I believe in you, I repent, and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me, cleanse me, and guide me to live for you. Amen.”
If you’ve prayed, take these steps:
1. Find a Bible-believing Church (Hebrews 10:25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12:14).
3. Study God’s word daily (2 Timothy 2:15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
5. Focus on heaven (Colossians 3:2).
