“But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity” (Luke 13:27).
There will be great surprises on Judgment Day. Many people you think are candidates for heaven because of their religiosity won’t get there. Heaven is for those who are genuinely born again, not for those who only wear the name of Christ outwardly.
Jesus warned that on that day, some will say, “Lord, we have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.” But He will answer, “I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity” (Luke 13:26-27).
Going to church, giving offerings, speaking in tongues, or being known as religious does not guarantee salvation. What matters is whether Christ knows you personally. He knows those who have repented of their sins, trusted Him as Lord and Saviour, and live in obedience to His Word. 2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.”
Don’t be deceived by outward appearance. A person can look holy before men but be far from God in the heart. That is why Matthew 7:21 says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
Dear reader, don’t wait for Judgment Day to discover the truth. Be sure of your salvation today. Are you truly born again? Has your life been changed by the power of the Gospel?
2 Corinthians 13:5 says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
If you are living in sin, hiding behind religious activity, repent now and surrender to Jesus before it is too late.

Lord Jesus, I have been living for myself. Forgive me for my sins. I believe You died for me and rose again. I surrender my life to You today. Be my Lord and Saviour. Make me truly born again and help me to live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
